The section leader will be selected by the section members – any way they choose.
The section members should choose a person who regularly attends rehearsals.
The person selected must agree to be section leader and perform the duties of the position.
The section leader will maintain order and discipline in the section.
The section leader will assign parts to the section members as necessary to balance instrumentation and ensure that all parts are covered.
If there is a disagreement or dispute as to seating assignments or any other problems between section members, the section leader will resolve the matter.
If the section leader encounters a problem he can not resolve, the section leader should bring the problem to the attention of the Vice President.
The section leader will keep track of section members’ attendance (any way he sees fit) in order to determine if a section member should or should not participate in concerts.
